Rock Lake, What a Gem!
Rock Lake is a crystal clear 1,371-acre recreational oasis, beckoning fun-seeking visitors and residents to its cool waters and tree-lined shores. This versatile body of water offers fishing, swimming, canoeing, rowing, kayaking, watersports, or simply a leisurely sunset cruise. Perfect for fishing year-round, its waters are home to Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Walleye and Yellow Perch.
Rock Lake also boasts five parks, two beautiful public beaches, and several public boat launches.
Located in the quaint city of Lake Mills in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, Rock Lake is a short drive from Madison or Milwaukee. Much mystery surrounds the stone structures that are reported to be found on the bottom of Rock Lake, which is why Lake Mills is called the City of Pyramids.
